Tara Clifford

Tara Clifford, 55 years old died in her home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, March 30 from 2 to 6 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Tara was a lover of animals, any animal.  When she was a young girl, she would often come home with stray cats from the "lots" and she would try to convince her parents to let her keep them.  She also had a love for cooking, she was known to have on cooking shows throughout the day and try different recipes. Most of all, she loved her one and only child, her son, Robert Della. Going to Bobby’s football games was one of her favorite things to do.   

Tara is a graduate of North Arlington High School, Class of 1986.  After high school, she attended Natural Motion Hair Design.  Although cutting hair was not her thing, it became more of a side gig - something she would do for family and friends.   

Tara had a long career in the trucking industry.  She began working at Preston Trucking, then Metropolitan Trucking.  Finally, she spent the last 18 years with her trucking family at M & T Logistics in Rutherford where she was an Operations Dispatch Manager.  

Tara is survived by her loving son, Robert Della, brother, Michael Clifford (Karen), sister Robyn Fisher (Stephen), nephews Michael (Liz), Colin, and Ryan Clifford and Brian Fisher, along with her two nieces, Bailey and Reese Fisher.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Martin & Marie (Riecke) Clifford.
